Crowns and Bridges
When to use Crowns and Bridges?
Our crowns and bridges are made from the most advanced materials including the most lifelike porcelains to create beautiful effects. These treatments will improve your smile, restoring or replacing damaged or missing teeth while protecting your dental health. Our precision-made crowns will cover and protect your natural teeth. Restoring missing teeth with a dental bridge prevents undesirable tooth movements and changes to your bite.
Crown Lengthening
What is Crown Lengthening?
A ‘gummy’ smile can result when teeth are covered up with an excess of gum tissue. By carefully sculpting and reshaping your gums, we can create an aesthetically pleasing smile, ensuring your gums evenly frame your teeth.
Teeth Whitening
How are Teeth Whitened?
We use Philips Zoom Whitening system which utilises the most advanced technology. With this whitening system, we can safely lift the colour of your teeth by several shades. Newcastle City Dental offers two different whitening treatments. Choose an in-chair whitening treatment to achieve a whiter smile in as little as an hour. Alternatively, we can provide fully customised home whitening kits using Zoom whitening gels. These kits include custom-made whitening trays fitting tightly yet comfortably over your teeth. You simply fill the trays with whitening gel and wear them for a few hours each day or even overnight. Your smile will look visibly brighter within a few days but it generally takes two weeks to complete treatment. With our lifetime whitening, you receive a top up whitening gel with your take home whitening kit at every six-monthly check-up, regardless of whether you choose our in-chair treatment or a custom whitening kit.
Veneers
What are Veneers?
Veneers can cosmetically improve your smile using techniques that are non-invasive and quick. We provide porcelain and composite veneers as well as Lumineers or non-prep veneers. Composite resin veneers are applied directly to the tooth surfaces and are a cost-effective treatment that can be completed in as little as a single visit. Porcelain veneers are made indirectly in a dental laboratory. Also made from porcelain, Lumineers are minimally invasive, requiring little or no tooth preparation.
Inlays & Onlays
What are Inlays & Onlays?
Our inlays and onlays are made from durable and beautiful porcelain and are ideal for restoring larger cavities in your back teeth. An inlay or onlay will replace the central chewing surface as well as one or more tooth cusps, restoring strength and structure to your tooth nearly invisibly. These restorations may be made in a dental laboratory or even while you wait, using sophisticated CADCAM technology.
